“Dr. Torpey, Hope all is well with you! I wanted to get in touch with you to give you a little update and let you know how I’m doing. Working with Drew and Basil has been fantastic to say the least. Turns out I had a lot of muscle imbalances that went unaddressed. They taught me so much and have helped me with the majority of my issues. It’s amazing how quickly the sensation I was feeling of an overly tight anterior capsule disappeared as my imbalances were corrected. I still have a fair amount of work to do, but finally seeing real substantial progress has me very optimistic for the future. I even started lightly working out again. My shoulders feel much more symmetrical and my exercises feel normal again. Things are finally starting to look up for me and I couldn’t be happier. I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for me. I’m sure I drove you crazy with all my questions and concerns, but what meant the most to me is that you always listened and never once made me feel stupid for asking them. I saw many doctors for my shoulder and can honestly say none of them made me truly believe that I was in the right hands the way you did. Your bedside manner and kindness were second to none and your upstanding character is one all doctors should strive to possess. Because of you, I am finally able to start living a normal, pain-free life again for the first time in over two years and I can’t thank you enough for that. It gives me comfort knowing that there is a doctor like you out there who can help the unique cases like mine, no matter how crazy the person may come off or how many questions they ask! “My family sees other physicians within Professional Orthopaedic Associates, and we argue over who had the better experience. Whether for knees, necks, backs, or ankles - we know where to go - Professional Orthopaedic Associates! I have been a patient of Dr. Gabisan's for a little under a year, but I must say that I wish he was not just an orthopaedic. His bedside manner is amazing. He sits, listens, and asks questions to better understand your issue. When you are a patient of his, you are a person not a number or a set of symptoms. I have been having issues with the same ankle over the better course of 7 years. He listened to the each issue, and then went further, and helped me come up with strategies to alleviate the tension and stress on my joint. Not to mention he warned against future injuries in my other ankle because of loosening ligaments. While the physicians are attentive and caring, it is not just Dr. Gabisan who makes the experience comforting, his office staff, Roz and RoseAnne worked with my crazy schedule to help get the scans I needed, and a chance to see Dr. Gabisan where I would not feel rushed. Even though in my future is probably a surgical procedure I think I can say I look forward to knowing that I will have all of the answers to my questions, and someone supporting me through it all.  ”
