“I am an Equine Dentist and am 59 years old. In 2007, I fractured my collarbone in a horse related accident. Because of the nature of my occupation, it’s imperative that I have full range of motion of all my extremities. The recovery required a surgery performed by Dr. Johnson. He inserted a plate and 5 screws to repair my collarbone. In about 7 months, he removed the plate. Thanks to Dr. Johnson and therapist Shelia, I made a full recovery. Then about a year ago, I developed a problem in my knee. The pain was excruciating and I could barely walk, let alone work. Again, my job is extremely physical and requires the use of your entire body, from fingers to toes. Again, I visited Dr. Johnson and he repaired my knee surgically. I was back doing moderate work on horses in 10 days. Shelia was supervising my rehab and helping me get back my range of motion. Of course, it took time to recover. My knee got stronger and my range of motion came back as the weeks went by. Now, a year later, my knee is perfect. I have no pain and have complete range of motion. I am on my feet all day long, doing strenuous work, working most days, and my knee never bothers me at all. As a matter of fact, I would say it’s the best part of me. As far as I am concerned, these people are the best in the business. I recommend them all the time to people with orthopaedic issues and would call on them again if I ever have another problem. They are truly healers and take a genuine concern about their patients well being. If it was not for them, I would not have been able to continue my career as an Equine Dentist. “Dr. Johnson, I again just needed say thank you for your incredible generosity towards Jordan. Your sincere unselfishness that you and your colleges extended towards my family will forever be remembered. I want you to know that it has impacted Jordan & me in that the "pay it forward" philosophy will continue with us. Jordan continues to do community service volunteering whether at the Food pantry, volunteering for his school and Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. He now has a very personal point of reference on how it feels to be the recipient of such acts of kindness. Also he hand wrote thank you letters to everyone involved. I am currently in volunteer training for Red Cross Shelter help and completed Hospice training. “Words cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Jason Cohen. I was in excruciating back pain because of a herniated disc and very nervous about getting surgery. The only thing I could do without pain was lie flat or stand straight. Any sitting , bending, sneezing, etc was intense pain. Dr. Cohen got me in right away, his team got me an MRI that same day and he explained the procedure to me and told me that he could get me out of pain. I trusted him and his team and they did just that! In a very short time frame, I was back to paddleboarding, yardwork, yoga and beach volleyball. NO Restrictions!! I got my life back, pain free!! The other HUGE component was that his team verified my insurance for me (something you really don't feel like doing when you are in that much pain) and there was very little out of pocket expense! Life is too short to be in pain when you have a surgeon like Dr. Cohen around. He's the best!!! Feel so blessed. Thanks again Dr. Cohen!!!”
