He understands not everyone has a medical background, so the pieces parts together to give you examples and explanations. He also realizes that people must also be able to work and considers that in his treatment recommendations. “Dr. Cohen is a very experienced and competent doctor. Above all, he has great compassion for his patients. Between my wife and myself, we have had five back surgeries by Dr. Cohen. I cannot even think of going anywhere else for back surgery if either one of us needs surgery again, and it will be by Dr. Cohen. If I have a question about my treatment, Dr. Cohen or one of his staff always gets back to me. Dr. Cohen says that my wife and I are now like family and he treats us like we are. He’s a great guy and doctor.”

“I called in on a Friday with a bit of an emergency for my son's broken thumb. The friendly receptionist was happy to assist me in getting me in that day to see Dr. Bade. Dr. Bade and John, his assistant, were terrific in addressing all of our concerns. My son was starting a job as a lifeguard the next day, and Dr. Bade put him at ease with having him use a brace for a few days at lifeguarding until his scheduled surgery. He assured my son that he was going to be healed and back to lifeguarding this season with no problem. Surgery went as planned and Dr.Bade was even very patient when my son accidentally got the cast wet, and he had to re-cast him. In early July the cast came off, and David's thumb is healed. He is back to fulltime lifeguard duties! Thank you to Dr.Bade and the excellent staff at Professional Orthopaedic Associates.”

“Dr. Torpey, Hope all is well with you! I wanted to get in touch with you to give you a little update and let you know how I’m doing. Working with Drew and Basil has been fantastic to say the least. Turns out I had a lot of muscle imbalances that went unaddressed. They taught me so much and have helped me with the majority of my issues. It’s amazing how quickly the sensation I was feeling of an overly tight anterior capsule disappeared as my imbalances were corrected. I still have a fair amount of work to do, but finally seeing real substantial progress has me very optimistic for the future. I even started lightly working out again. My shoulders feel much more symmetrical and my exercises feel normal again. Things are finally starting to look up for me and I couldn’t be happier. I want to thank you for everything you’ve done for me. I’m sure I drove you crazy with all my questions and concerns, but what meant the most to me is that you always listened and never once made me feel stupid for asking them. I saw many doctors for my shoulder and can honestly say none of them made me truly believe that I was in the right hands the way you did. Your bedside manner and kindness were second to none and your upstanding character is one all doctors should strive to possess. Because of you, I am finally able to start living a normal, pain-free life again for the first time in over two years and I can’t thank you enough for that. It gives me comfort knowing that there is a doctor like you out there who can help the unique cases like mine, no matter how crazy the person may come off or how many questions they ask!
