“I used to be active athlete who enjoyed all sports! Basketball, tennis, skiing, snow boarding, & martial arts. I had a full torn acl injury ten years ago and had seen quite few doctors over the years in New York and New Jersey. I never felt comfortable so never committed to the surgery. Most practices felt cold and uncaring (akin to a production line). At the recommendation of a friend I went to see Dr. Foos and from the minute I entered the office my experience was second to none. Dr. Foos provided unrushed quality time educating me on my injury and objective choice of options (the previous surgeons didn't really give any). As I expected the surgery went off without a hitch and his follow up was just as good as the first visit. The same quality time was made post-op which was instrumental in my full recovery. “My story started May 2012, when my muscle on my left knee detached from my bone. I went to the ER first, then to Professional Orthopaedic Associates. I saw Dr. Gentile, who took a MRI. After seeing the results, he set a date to operate. All that I told him was that I did not want to know anything at the time of the operation. True to his word, I did not feel anything. I came out of the operation feeling good. His professionalism, knowledge, and compassion, made me feel safe and confidant at the follow-ups. “Dr. Johnson, I wish to thank you for the great job that you did for me on two occasions. The first was a couple of years ago after a sever ligament tear to my left thumb. Since then it has healed tremendously and it is now a non-issue in daily performance on the job, when I'm working out or in the future as I perform my summer duties life guarding. The second was the most recent operation you performed on my knee to take care of a torn piece of cartilage. Though I still think about it in order to protect it, I shocked myself when to perform a task that involved the use of brute force i used that very leg and didn't realize I had until afterward. I of course rebuked myself for doing so, but it put a smile on my face realizing that the knee was solid. I also wish to give a sincere thank you for the greatest confidence you instilled on my daughter when she saw you. She was amazed when you got on the phone and got her an appointment within a week with a doctor that she was not able to get an appointment for over a month. We've known one another since high school and I am proud to tell people that fact. Not just because you are an excellent doctor and surgeon, for which I recommend you, but because you are a fine individual that really does care about his patients.”
