Patient Reviews: Dr. David Gentile
David R. Gentile, MD, FACS
The following are reviews from patients of Dr. Gentile.
“Dr. Gentile was very informative regarding the injury. He was genuinely caring and concerned about Mario's injury to his wrist. We did not feel rushed through the appointment, and Dr. Gentile explained in detail the injury, treatment, and recovery time. His staff called several times to make sure all was ok, and we were on the right path to recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Gentile and his team to others. It has been a pleasure and a relief to know we can count on Dr. Gentile in time of need.”

Patient Rating:“I came to see Dr. Gentile because of pain and swelling in my right thumb and wrist. He took x-rays and explained to me, in detail, that I had a bone spur at the base of my thumb that was causing inflammation. He then told his advanced treatment options to me. After being treated with medication and doing some therapeutic exercises, the swelling went down, and I had normal function of my hand and thumb. I was pleased with Dr. Gentile, his detailed explanations, and the results of treatment.”

Patient Rating:“I first met Dr. Gentile in the spring for a jammed finger I incurred playing volleyball with my grandson. Dr. Gentile was great, and in no time I was feeling better. A few months later I experienced shoulder pain, an entirely new problem. Appointment with Dr. Gentile, diagnosed a rotator cuff tear off to PT for awhile it was improving then it went wrong, and I could not move my arm. Surgery scheduled. I was nervous 70+ years young rotator cuff surgery could be a robust recovery. Surgery went well pretty extensive repair needed many anchors to put me back together — pain minimal back to Yoga classes before I knew it. Just two weeks ago I experienced a severe fall I landed on my elbow resulting in a fracture to my left elbow -dislocation to the radial head, pain pretty severe. Dr. Gentile explained my course to treat would have to be a replacement of the fx bone. Surgery scheduled soonest and I am currently six days post op. Dr. Gentile has Golden Hands, no postoperative pain. I know I have a way to go with PT, but with Dr Gentile in my corner I am in the best hands. Professional Orthopedics from the first phone call to discharge superior care! I am so happy every day that I found this dedicated ,talented surgeon.”

Patient Rating:“I came to see Dr. Gentile with two hand problems, right thumb and left middle finger. My first appointment was a shot to see if the problem would resolve. My second appointment was to decide if I needed the middle finger surgically fixed. Dr. Gentile made the decision easy for me, explained the procedure thoroughly and assured me the outcome would be a fixed finger. The scheduling was smooth, the nursing staff was great, and the office help were efficient. They remembered my name, which was essential to me. All in all, a very positive experience. ”

He understands not everyone has a medical background, so the pieces parts together to give you examples and explanations. He is willing to speak to insurance companies and attempt to get the needed treatment for his patients.”
